Today I visited The Solitude Inn
Upon arriving at The Solitude Inn, only 16 miles from my home I met a wonderful couple, Joe and Monica. We made acquaintances outside in the 22 degree weather and quickly went inside. "Wow! holly crap, yeah this place is "Reely Nice." I hadn't even stepped off the rug just inside the front door yet but, that was my reaction. There was a lot to see and man was I glad I found this new lodging discovery. Joe and Monica had obviously put in a ton of time, sparring no expense renovating this 1917 farm house that can sleep up to 8 people. Just bring food for the fridge and pack your clothes and your good to go, after touring the Inn I'm certain of that. There is even a rowboat and canoes available to rent, Joe is a certified boat steam cleaner for the NYC Water Supply (JMT Enterprises - 607-865-7801). You couldn’t access this pristine reservoir without first coming to see Joe, keeping the reservoir clean is serious business. Oh yeah, those Tentrr camping sites that are all the rage, there are two sites on this 200 acre property. The Solitude Inn is "Reely Awesome". Let Reel Catskills tailor your trip to make your stay at The Solitude Inn even more memorable, lets go fishing!
